After a great deal of planning and much hard work, we've finally moved into our new building. It is a beautiful purpose-built, state-of-the-art building offering five surgeries and many other attractive facilities.

We saw our first patient in the new building on Monday 23 August 2004. In due course, this page will be updated to show our extensive facilities.

28 November 2003 Early trenches and foundations

7 December 2003 At last, walls appearing!

12 December 2003 Steel framework is erected in pouring rain.

17 December 2003 The framework is 85% complete and walls are going up.

14 January 2004 The walls continue to go up and the outer leaf of stone is being applied.

28 January 2004 Winter's arrived. No work today - or this week!

4 February 2004 The heavy rain of the previous week has fortunately held off and it's now possible to pour the concrete for the ground floor.

13 February 2004 Work continues on erecting the peripheral walls.

18 February 2004 The walls are now almost at first floor level and construction of the roof will commence next week.

25 February 2004 The first floor is placed, above the surgery block and further work is being done on the walls.

28 February 2004 Winter returns with a vengeance, temporarily.

5 March 2004 At last, winter has receded and building work has recommenced in earnest.

10 March 2004 The first floor is almost complete and progress continues on the roof.

15 March 2004 Internal walls within the building are now taking shape and rooms and the main corridor can be seen.

26 March 2004 The roof is being constructed and some internal walls are complete.

2 April 2004 The roof of the rear block is almost complete and waterproof.

16 April 2004 The rear block roof is complete and work continues on the roof over the main block.

19 April 2004 Work continues on the roof over the main block.

5 May 2004 There's been very heavy rain over the past few days which has delayed completion of the roof but it progress is now being made

19 May 2004 The roof is now complete and watertight. But there's an unwanted guest in the electrics in one of the rooms, a blackbird is busy raising its young!

24 May 2004 The scaffolding has finally come down to reveal the building in all its glory.
