The Practice was started in 1972 by Richard Grant at a time when Cramlington was expanding rapidly. Within a short time, a second dentist was taken on and demand continued to grow throughout the 70's and the 80's.

In 1987 the Practice became a Vocational Training practice. Vocational Training was then a new concept in Dentistry, reflecting experience in general medical practice, every newly qualified dentist was obliged to undergo a further year of training whilst practising. A series of four Trainees each completed a year, in three cases the Trainee staying on after their Training year to continue working as an Associate dentist within the practice.

Currently, the Practice employs two Associates, Timothy Secker, who is full-time, and Stuart Eaborn, who is part-time.

Over the years, the Practice has expanded and we are now bursting at the seams in our existing building. For these reasons, we took a decision to move to better premises and to this end, we are currently building a brand new, luxurious Practice building. In this, we will be offering a vastly enlarged range of services in attractive, state-of-the-art surroundings. Whilst the building is being erecred, you can watch progress by clicking on the "Future" button in the menu on the left or either by clicking here, where a series of pictures are being posted every few days, logging progress. The new building is located in the car park behind the Plough Inn in the old village of Cramlington and is about three hundred yards North East of the town centre. You can see a map showing where we are by going to the "Future" page and clicking on location map.
