Dr Richard Grant
Richard Grant is the founder and senior dentist having started the Practice in August 1972.
He qualified in 1971 at Newcastle upon Tyne and completed a year as House Officer at the Newcastle upon Tyne Dental Hospital before moving into general practice.
He was awarded, by election, to Membership of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners of the UK (MFGDP,RCS) in 1992.GDC No. 45062
Dr Rebecca Carter
Rebecca Carter qualified from Liverpool university with honours 1997. MFGDP in 2006.
Worked in general dental practice 23 years and also previously taught students at Newcastle University dental school.
Enjoys treating patients especially reassuring nervous patients. When not working is busy looking after her 3 teenage children and running marathons.GDC No. 73614
Dr Tom Conroy
Tom graduated from Newcastle University in 2015 and has since undergone postgraduate training in Invisalign and CFAST as well as studying for a PGCert in restorative dentistry, allowing greater knowledge of general and cosmetic work, extending the range of treatment options available to patients.
Tom has also completed postgraduate Member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery exams from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh.

Dr Ayesha Shahram Khan
Ayesha graduated in 2006 from Pakistan and worked there as a dentist before moving to the UK in 2013. She did her overseas registration exam and started practising dentistry in the UK in 2016. She joined our practice in 2017 and has taken on many new NHS patients.
Ayesha is passionate about dentistry and has completed many courses to extend her skills including: Invisalign, Cfast and Facial Aesthetics. She provides both NHS and private dental care for her patients. She understands the importance of good oral hygiene in maintaining overall health and wellbeing in a person’s life and is zealous in providing preventative dental care. In her spare time she likes to read books and enjoy time with her family.GDC No. 262790
Mrs Angela Watson
Dental Nurse / Practice ManagerGDC No. 208471
Emma qualified at Newcastle Dental Hospital in 2002 as a dental hygienist. She has a wealth of experience and has built up a strong rapport with our patients having been at the practice for many years. They trust her to leave them with sparkling smiles and healthy gums.
In her spare time Emma enjoys listening to music, crafting and also volunteers at a local cat rescue. She is the owner of 4 cats.GDC No. 258589
Miss Vanessa Gibson
Vanessa is a Dental Hygienist and Therapist at Cramlington Dental Centre. Along with Emma our other Hygienist, you'll be seeing her for problems relating to your gums.
Vanessa also carries out fillings that the dentist refers to her. She treats a lot of children at our practice for fillings and extractions, we are very keen on prevention here so tend to go through toothbrushing with your little ones and find out a bit more about diet to help prevent further problems.
Vanessa is a keen volunteer, completing 3 trips with the charity Dentaid to Uganda, providing pain relief and oral health eduction to those who would never normally have access to such a service.GDC No. 245832
Every Practice has a mixture of Receptionists and Dental Nurses and we are no different.
Our current complement of Staff includes 2 Receptionists, x Nurses and one Hygienist and one Therapist.
All of our Nurses are registered Dental Care Professionals, one has a Certificate in Dental Health Education and two are qualified to take X-Rays.
